There were many Medical advances that happened in the Industrial Revolution. After new technology came out they were able to produce more medical tools such as needles and microscopes. Wars led to improvement on surgical advances and nursing care, and people moved to towns, houses before were very crammed and you could catch diseases very easily, and so when they moved, it decreased sickness in the towns and cities. But over all the medication advances in the Industrial Revolution top two are:
Smallpox Vaccine
In article one "Smallpox Overview" by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it tells us what the disease is and what forms of Smallpox exist. So what is Smallpox? "Smallpox is a serious, contagious, and sometimes fatal infectious disease. The pox part of smallpox is derived from the Latin word for “spotted” and refers to the raised bumps that appear on the face and body of an infected person." Small pox is a virus that spreads through the body and shows up physically as red bumps on the skin. The Smallpox vaccine was developed by Edward Jenner in 1748, but was not tried until 1805. The vaccine stopped the expansion of the disease through out the mills, but by this time already killed about 50 million. Smallpox (or Variola) was common in the mills because they rejected the new vaccine, and denied the fact that it was the deadliest disease known to mankind during the Industrial Revolution. Smallpox is caused by the contagious virus Variola. There are two forms a smallpox that exist. "Variola major is the severe and most common form of smallpox, with a more extensive rash and higher fever. There are four types of variola major smallpox: ordinary (the most frequent type, accounting for 90% or more of cases); modified (mild and occurring in previously vaccinated persons); flat; and hemorrhagic (both rare and very severe). " Variola major only has about 30% chance fatality but flat and hemorrhagic are extremely fatal. This was extremely dangerous before the Vaccine because they had nothing to prevent it and it would spread throughout cities and mills. In the second Article "What causes Smallpox"and "How the Smallpox is Spread" by Web MD it tells us both what causes the disease and how it spreads. What causes Smallpox is the Variola germ. You get the germ by "...breathing in the virus during close, face-to-face contact with an infected person. It usually spreads through drops of saliva when the person coughs, sneezes, or speaks." Which in the Industrial Revolution they didn't know why it was spreading, which caused a huge problem and infected more people.

Anesthesia
In the article "Anesthesia" by Wikipedia it tells us all the different categories of Anesthesia and their purposes, and why they are so important. So what is Anesthesia in the first place? Anesthesia is "In the practice of medicine (especially surgery) and dentistry, anesthesia or anaesthesia is a temporary induced state with one or more of analgesia (relief from or prevention of pain), paralysis (muscle relaxation), amnesia (loss of memory), and unconsciousness." Before anesthesia the people didn't understand the whole germ theory which put their bodies in shock and actually killed a mass selection of people and spread diseases across the population, but after they invented the anesthesia it calmed their bodies and caused them to relax and not be in shock which saved many innocent life's. There are three categories of anaesthesia that helps the pain in medical performances, separating them from unconsciousness, loss of memory, and relaxation and the three following are: General Anesthesia, Sedation, and Regional or Local Anesthesia. "General anesthesia suppresses central nervous system activity and results in unconsciousness and total lack of sensation" "Sedation suppresses the central nervous system to a lesser degree, inhibiting both anxiety and creation of long-term memories without resulting in unconsciousness. " and "Regional anesthesia and local anesthesia, which block transmission of nerve impulses between a targeted part of the body and the central nervous system, causing loss of sensation in the targeted body part. " All of these anesthesia helped the Industrial Revolution because it reduced pain when people got wounded (possibly in War), put people unconscious during surgery, and help stop diseases. But there are both major and minor risks in the Anesthesia industry, some examples of major risks are "death, heart attack, and pulmonary embolism" and some minor risks are "postoperative nausea and vomiting, and hospital readmission."
